HONOLULU – Pacific Tech 2022 (formerly known as the Hawai’i SBIR Conference) is taking place in Honolulu. This updated biannual event brings together Pacific Rim technology and engineering organizations/companies with government clients, investors, prime contractors, federal SBIR/STTR program representatives and other supporting government agencies . Innovative technology companies will have the opportunity to meet potential customers and learn about the US seed fund (SBIR/STTR programs), as well as how best to use new funding and commercialization opportunities technologies.

The Hawai’i Convention Center is hosting this year’s conference from October 24-26, 2022. More than 150 attendees from throughout the Pacific Rim and West Coast, as well as representatives from federal agencies, are expected.

This year’s title sponsor is Decisive Point, a venture capital firm that invests in high-tech innovations for security, health, energy and infrastructure. Decisive Point’s mission is to solve tough problems that matter, supporting mission-driven startups and amplifying investment with public R&D funding.

This is a unique opportunity for technology and engineering companies in the Pacific region, especially smaller companies, to offer new and innovative technology solutions to government challenges that they are unable to solve at the internal. Hawaii’s geographic location makes it a vital part of U.S. military strategic operations, along with the ever-expanding military presence in the islands, provides opportunities for the public and various branches of the military to discuss partnerships.

This event will feature speakers from government entities looking for new solutions, prime contractors in need of subcontractors, and new funders looking to accelerate solving government problems with solutions for small businesses. . Speakers include Dr. George Kailiwai III, Director, Requirements and Resources (J8), Headquarters, US Indo-Pacific Command (HQ USINDOPACOM), Dr. Martin Lindsey, Science and Technology Advisor to USINDOPACOM, Science Advisors and SBIR program managers from various federal agencies.
