India’s England tour began with a Test loss for the Edgbaston visitors. The teams then traveled to Southampton and Edgbaston, where India won back-to-back T20Is to claim the three-game series. England picked up one from Trent Bridge, but that didn’t help matters. In the ODI series again India started on a high with a 10 wicket win at the Oval but at Lord’s they lost the second ODI by 100 runs to settle things.

The draw between India skipper Rohit Sharma and England captain Jos Buttler has been won by the former who decides to play first at Old Trafford, Manchester.

The Indian squad had to make a forced change as Jasprit Bumrh was unavailable for selection due to injury and Mohammed Siraj found his place in the squad. The English side as expected remained unchanged.
