The National Council of Eritrean Americans (NCEA) held its fourth conference from August 1-3 in Dallas under the theme “Building a Strong Nation Rooted in Popular Participation”.

The opening ceremony was marked by a minute of silence to commemorate the Eritrean martyrs, the raising of the flags of Eritrea and the United States, as well as a discussion focusing on the council’s diplomatic activities.

Commenting on the activities carried out by the National Council of Eritrean-Americans, Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwet, Charge d’Affaires at the Eritrean Embassy, ​​called for organizational capacity building for a better outcome.

Mr. Yosuf Saiq, President of the PFDJ in the Central Region also led a seminar focusing on the objective situation in the homeland as well as regional developments.

Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, President of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students also congratulated the 4th Annual Conference via virtual zoom from Eritrea.

On this occasion, Mr. Alazar Abraham, Mr. Abdlurahman Mohammed Nur, Dr. Mihreteab Gebrehiwet and Ms. Tsige Nemariam gave presentations on the Grassroots Decades.

According to the report, the conference was attended by more than 500 nationals from various parts of the United States.
